Bus Ministry Testimonies

The Bus Ministry officially closed October 2013. The Greyhound Bus Terminal located at the Howard Johnson Hotel moved to the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. We thank the Lord for His faithfulness and fruitfulness during the past 2 ½ years – nearly 1,200 people were saved through this ministry!

2011
A lot of men get dropped off at the Greyhound Bus Depot after being released from prison and come into the Bus Ministry at Eagle Mountain Church.
Some of these men have received prayer and some became Born Again. One man came in who used to belong to the Hell’s Angels and said he didn’t believe in the Trinity. One of the Bus Ministry team started talking to him about the Lord. Apparently he had read all kinds of Bibles in jail. He was supposed to go and kill someone again, but after prayer and receiving the Lord he said he couldn’t do that. He went in and out the door crying, and was wondering what he was feeling inside.
There were many healings for people after prayer, such as: arms and legs grew out, people’s breathing got better, pains in the back were gone, wrist and thumb healed, better vision from pepper spray, pain in back and face bones went from a scale of 10 to 2, sprained ankle was healed, a four- year old boy had just been to the dentist and was in pain and discomfort. After prayer he started running around the church.
A bus load of people from Iran came in. They all heard the Gospel at the same time and were getting ready to receive the Lord when one person spoke up and said no. The rest followed suit. A little later one lady came back in and took one of the Jesus Loves You cards. She said she would say the born again prayer later when she was alone.
Serena – 18 years old, two weeks prior she had almost got killed. A truck had hit her and she flew 15 feet in the air and only received a few bruises. She ended up saying the prayer and became born again.
James – (Eddie’s brother) came in really shaken up after earthquake tremors on Vancouver Island. Accepted the Lord and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
A man from Japan was shaken after that earthquake in Japan and received the Lord.
Sean – a believer, who had been kicked off a worship team 10 years ago due to false allegations, became addicted to alcohol. He received prayer to be set free from addictions. He told the team that he hasn’t seen his daughter for 8 years. She’s now 15 years old. He was thankful for receiving prayer.
Bo and Adan from Taiwan came in. One spoke a little English and one didn’t speak any. The one who spoke English said for us to pray for his brother first. The Holy Spirit manifested and his brother felt it. This encouraged the other brother and they both said the born again prayer at the same time.
The Holy Spirit was teaching us that it didn’t matter whether people understood English or not, He could still get the job done. We didn’t need an interpreter. For example, Soulie, a Chinese girl, didn’t know English but said the prayer, started crying and then broke out into laughter.
Rodney had been in a lot of accidents and wondered why he was still alive. He was told that it was no accident that he came into the Bus Ministry. The Lord wanted to make sure he would go to Heaven when it was his time. He said the born again prayer.
A lady came in and received prayer for her legs. She said her legs felt better and stopped using her cane. She threw the cane over her shoulder as she walked out the door.
Two professors, a man and his wife, from Australia, were travelling to Knights Inlet to look for grizzly bears. Talked to the wife and asked if I could pray for their safety. She said yes and took Jesus Loves You card.
A couple from Campbell River came in and were asked if they had heard about Jesus. They said no and decided they needed to hear more. Genesis to the Cross was preached to them and they both became born again. As soon as the woman said the prayer, she took a deep breath and huge tears started to roll down her cheeks.
A gentleman had shared that his wife had been killed and couldn’t understand why this happened. Became born again and received prayer to stay away from the alcohol. He was here from Vancouver and wondered why he was in Nanaimo. Now he knew why. He also needed to forgive himself and others.
Alex from Victoria received prayer for healing of his liver and kidneys. He came back later and reported that the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him. Praise God!
First Nations lady Victoria and her granddaughter had received prayers for their family. She came back and reported that one of her sons had got a job and another one in the family had stopped drinking.
Martin – a worker for Greyhound came in the wrong door, but said he would come back and got born again.
Mike – an ex Navy man shared that he had a lot of bad accidents that could have taken his life. He heard the Gospel, took the Jesus Loves You card and felt he would say the prayer privately.
Douglas from Tofino had been in the Nanaimo Hospital for 3 days for chemotherapy for lymphoma. After 30 minutes of hearing the Gospel, he accepted the Lord. He had missed his bus, but felt that had to happen to get saved.

2012
More healings occurred after prayer, i.e. lower back, ankles, knees, feet, eyes, bones and sore shoulder. Debbie had 3 or 4 accidents. First one was 15 years ago. She had been hurting ever since. She got totally healed after prayer and got born again. She was going to Victoria for a cortisone shot for her spine and now doesn’t need it. Jesus healed her. Hallelujah!
Andy – First Nations man on his way to his Reserve called West Coast Village. Got born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. This was an answer to his mother’s prayers for 15 years. Team felt that the Lord was going to use him in a big way on his Reserve.
Lorna – just off the West Coast Trail and was in a flash flood. She got hyperthermia and was caught between a mother bear and her cub. God rescued her and brought her to the Bus Ministry to get saved.
Doug – started Block Watch in Nanaimo. Got born again and filled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. Received favor from the Mayor and RCMP. Felt to pray over him for more heavenly authority.
Older people getting saved, i.e. 93 years old, 89 years old and 82 years old.
Amy – a lady from Nitnat with 6 children came in. Amy and 3 of her children got saved.
Solomon – from Vancouver got born again and danced with the flags. He also smelled perfume.
Marina – team member looked out the door and this lady fell in the door. She was crying before she got inside and said she had been looking for God all her life. Team member said now you have found Him and got born again. She kept crying, but now was happy.
John – fell from a cliff while hiking and broke many bones. The doctors figured he wouldn’t make it. Came to the Bus Ministry and got saved.
Vance – got hit by a car after receiving prayer. Was taken to the hospital and doctors discovered he had something that needed to be treated besides other injuries. Accident was like a blessing in disguise. Came back to Bus Ministry and got born again.

2013

Alex – going to Campbell River said people on the bus were talking about this little church. She was hearing all good things and that people were so thankful that Eagle Mountain was here. She got born again.
Calvin – we prayed for his health. He felt a big third hand on his leg as he got prayed for and felt pins and needles. He had been paralyzed on one side of his body.
Emily – crippled up and bent over for 40 years and used a walker. She received prayer and started to walk standing up all the way to the bathroom and back. Pain left her legs. Praise God for this miracle!
Rita – came in almost blind. After prayer she received her vision and started rejoicing saying, “I can see you, I can see you.” She was so full of joy, she started dancing and flagging around the room. Another miracle occurred!
Sonny – came in so angry and after prayer and getting born again, completely calmed down.
Spike – Mormon parents. Had the experience dying a few times, but the Lord kept bringing him back to life. Came to the Bus Ministry and got born again.
Chris – came into Bus Ministry from rehab. Team member shared the Gospel and he gave his heart to the Lord. Laid hands on him and got filled with the Holy Spirit. Someone received a prophecy that he was going to be an evangelist. Team member busts out in laughter and the rest of the team joins her. James comes in from the outside hearing the laughter and asks if this is still a church. Team member asks if he wants Jesus and he says yes. She shares the Gospel and he gives his life to the Lord, and then says something is wrong with his foot. So the team gets Chris to pray for healing for James. James’ wife and daughter come in and see him getting prayed for. Now they want Jesus. Team member shares the Gospel again and they both get born again. Way to go God!
