Bus Ministry History

The Bus Ministry officially closed October 2013. The Greyhound Bus Terminal located at the Howard Johnson Hotel moved to the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. We thank the Lord for His faithfulness and fruitfulness during the past 2 ½ years – nearly 1,200 people were saved through this ministry!
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. (John 10:9) One glorious day Sunday morning in January 2011 the air in the morning service was fouled in the Sanctuary as the furnace had backfired. Sunday evening service was not much better. On Tuesday when arriving late to the intercessory prayer meeting the odor was still present. The team moved to another room and Pastor Wayne Nelson of Eagle Mountain Church decided to air out the Sanctuary. Something miraculous blew in... |

When Pastor Wayne opened the side door to the Sanctuary, he realized it faced the arrivals area for the Greyhound Bus Station. About 100 people walked by in a matter of minutes. He thought, "why don't we open this door and invite the travelers to come in and give them free coffee, tea and goodies while they wait for their buses?"
A member of the congregation came forward and at the end of March 2011 the door was opened every Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:30pm to test the waters. It worked well with a few salvations. There were more travelers on Friday so a few weeks later the day was changed to Friday 1:00pm to 4:30pm. This also worked well so a few weeks later there were more workers and the Ministry began to open from 9:30am to 4:30pm. There were more salvations and healings. As the vision of the lost saved was being embraced, a few weeks later the Bus Ministry opened Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30am to 5:30pm and then Saturdays from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
Since the Bus Ministry was birthed, laborers offered prayers to the travelers who came in through the "most anointed door in Nanaimo." Healings, addictions, direction, protection and re-dedications of lives to God transformed lives. Evangelism manifested and nearly 1,200 people became Born Again! Praise the Lord!
CAUTION - Winning Souls had Side Effects
The congregation saw the hunger for Jesus in the lives of the those Born Again and were having people give their lives to the Lord in the market place.

Success Stories
It was declared in a prophetic word (see below) that Eagle Mountain Church would become a House of Prayer for all nations. Our congregation got excited about the opportunity to send teams abroad. We didn't expect the Lord to bring the nations to us - in fact right to our side door step! He is so, so good!
People from over 46 Nations were Saved:

Success Stories
- One man received healing of his liver and kidneys after coming to the Bus Ministry. He came back to tell us and then gave his heart to the Lord!
- A grandmother reported significant changes in her family after we prayed for her - someone had quit drinking, got a job and the family is getting restored.
- One of our members reported talking to a young girl from Victoria that had been to Nanaimo. She was asked if she came to the Bus Ministry and she said "yes, Jesus met me at the door, and I was set free."
- A couple came back after being saved and said they had found a church to go to.
- A married couple in their 80’s said they “believed in God” but after hearing the Gospel “believed God.” They were so happy and thankful to be born again!
- Two brothers from Taiwan after they felt heat surge through their body, believed on Jesus and said they would go back to Taiwan and tell everybody about this Jesus!
- A wiccan, could not bend to her touch her knees after a car accident two years previous. The team prayed for her and she was healed bending close to her toes. She exclaimed “what is this!” She was told about Jesus, given a Bible and material. She was excited to learn about this Jesus.

Prophetic Word
Remember when reading the following prophesy that nearly 1,200 people were saved from over 46 nations who came in through 1 door at Eagle Mountain Church. The church is located at 1 Terminal Ave which is the center of the city of Nanaimo! During the week of November 17-19, 2011 we held multi-church meetings with mingled worship teams from 5 different churches! The Lord powerfully moved through this prophecy!
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
Prophesy Given in August 2007 to Eagle Mountain Church by Prophet David Gardiner
Get ready because God is going to begin to bring in here a stream of people to be saved daily. There is going to be a tremendous shaking on this Island. It may be in the Post Office, in the grocery store or in the Mall that the power of God will begin to touch people when you are walking by, because Christ in you is being released in a greater way of authority, glory and anointing. And when you are walking by, Christ in you is coming forth ready to reach lives. There are going to be deliverances and salvations. Tremendous and powerful things will happen outside of the wall of this church gathering. Amen.
This year is a year of the beginning of a wave of people getting saved. They are walking and traveling around in this area. I see many people lost right now, but they are being prepared for this wave of God that is coming in. God is going to bring in single people, married couples and whole entire families into these doors.
Some of you will be sent to nations. I saw a doorway and above it I saw a globe of the earth turning and the Lord said that this is a door into the nations. The Lord is going to knit us together with others regarding music. I see divine connections already started. These people will be anointed of God in instruments and voice and have a beat and melody in their spirit. In the days coming, there will be teams. Don’t be surprised when you are released to go into other nations with a team…
People will be dancing right out on the streets - overcome with the joy of the Lord. They won’t care that they are out in public or care what people are thinking…
Praise Team - you are going to hear angels singing. At first it will be far away - a small sound. As time is going on, the singing of the angel’s music is going to get closer and closer and louder and louder, until they are manifested here in your midst, involved in the praise and worship of the Lord. The Lord is taking praise and worship into new heights and new realms in the glory such as we have not known before. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This place is a stepping stone. The Lord says not to be too comfortable, because He is going to bring in a lot of people to be delivered, saved and added to the Kingdom.
There will be another building at another location. I believe the Holy Spirit was telling me it is not going to be something that’s inexpensive or out of the way. The Lord wants to have some property that’s prime property, right in the middle of the people, in the middle of the city, and in the middle of everything that is going on.
Because God wants people to see and know that He’s not just a God of just enough or barely enough, but a God of more than enough. Our God is going to open something that is a testimony in the city, right here in BC.
